Wide-format printing (also called large-format or grand-printing), has its technological origins in the 1980s. By the early 1990s, electrostatic (and a few inkjet) plotters had grown to over 990 milimeters wide and were predominantly used for architectural and engineering drawings, schematics, courtroom exhibits and other such applications.
Large format printing as an advertising medium, has steadily gained popularity overtime. As the name suggests, its main purpose is to support maximum print roll width. The beauty of this type of printing is it gives you the luxury of a bigger area to work with. Large format printing is functional for banners, posters, wallpapers, murals and more. Ideal for materials that have visual or graphic-heavy designs. Their wide images and texts make big format print effective advertising tools. They create more impact and attract customers better than normal-sized material.
Our large format printing department includes a complete finishing for laminating, mounting and computer cutting. Useful products we recommend are:
- Posters: great for POP or tradeshow displays, photo print, and retail graphics. You can print them in a mounted 3/16 gator board or semi/high gloss paper based stock.
- Vinyl Banners: popular as stand alones with outdoor users or together with exhibit displays.
- Canvas: ideal for art reproduction. You may choose from rolled or wrapped canvas depending on your design preference and use.
- Wall Decal/Murals/Stickers: give your space new perspective with these repositionable and fade resistant wall graphics.
We are proud owners of a state-of-the-art ACME Wide Format press, which delivers high impact outdoor advertising including banners, billboards, vehicle wrapping and striking wallscapes (as seen on the sides of tall buildings on the Harare City Centre).
